1. Who we are

TrackSchool (“TrackSchool,” “we,” “us”) operates trackschool.io, a recruiting platform that helps track & field athletes evaluate their recruiting profile, project their college level, find matching programs, and connect with college coaches. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

For privacy questions or requests, contact us at privacy@trackschool.io.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide and information generated as you use TrackSchool:

  • Account & profile: name, email, password, role (athlete, parent, or coach), graduation year, gender, school, state.
  • Athletic & academic data: personal records (PRs), events, meet results, GPA, and test scores you choose to add.
  • Recruiting activity: dream schools, saved programs, coach outreach, profile visibility settings, posts, and uploaded photos or video.
  • Payment data: processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Usage & device data: log data, approximate location, device/browser information, and cookies needed to keep you signed in and improve the product.

3. Children & minors

TrackSchool is designed for high-school track & field athletes, many of whom are minors. We take additional care with their information:

  • Athletes under 13 require verifiable parental consent before creating an account, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Parent/guardian accounts are available to manage a minor's profile.
  • A parent or guardian may review, request deletion of, or revoke consent for their child's information at any time by contacting privacy@trackschool.io.
  • We collect only the information reasonably necessary for recruiting and do not condition participation on a child disclosing more than is needed.

[Counsel to confirm verifiable-consent mechanism and any applicable state-law requirements.]

4. How we use your information

  • Provide the platform — grading, projections, school matches, and recruiting tools.
  • Make athlete profiles visible to college coaches when the athlete (or their parent) chooses to do so.
  • Communicate with you — account, transactional, and (with consent where required) marketing messages.
  • Process subscriptions and payments.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve our services.

5. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only as described here:

  • College coaches: when an athlete makes their profile visible, coaches can view profile, performance, and contact details the athlete has shared.
  • Service providers: infrastructure and tools that operate the platform on our behalf — including hosting, database/authentication, payment processing, email delivery, and AI features — under contractual confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal & safety: when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the platform.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

6. Your choices & rights

  • Access, update, or delete your profile information from your account, or by contacting us.
  • Control coach visibility at any time from your profile settings.
  • Opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link; transactional messages are necessary to provide the service.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, portability). Contact privacy@trackschool.io to exercise them.

7. Data retention & security

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, though no system is perfectly secure.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes.
